HISTORY — from college profile

2022: Played in all 13 games, starting nine at cornerback…also served as Pitt’s primary punt returner…named All-ACC (second team) as a return specialist and Honorable Mention All-ACC at corner…compiled 34 tackles, eight pass breakups and three interceptions…led the ACC and ranked 12th nationally in punt return average (9.7 avg. on 24 returns)…scored three total touchdowns: two via interceptions and one punt return…became the first Pitt player to score TDs via both punt and INT returns in the same season since Darrelle Revis in 2006…tied for the ACC lead (with fellow Pitt corner Marquis Williams) and ranked third nationally with two pick sixes…in the highly anticipated season opener against historic rival West Virginia, alertly snagged a tipped pass and raced 56 yards for the go-ahead touchdown with 2:58 left, giving the Panthers a 38-31 victory…named the Paycom Jim Thorpe Award Player of the Week and ACC Defensive Back of the Week for his heroics against WVU… also had an opening-play 29-yard pick six at Virginia, setting the tone in a 37-7 win…had an 82-yard punt return TD in the Rhode Island victory, the Panthers’ first punt return score since 2018…tied his career high with six tackles vs. Virginia Tech.

2021: Played in 13 games as a reserve cornerback…totaled 18 tackles, one TFL, four pass breakups and one interception…his INT came in overtime at the goal line against North Carolina, sealing a 30-23 victory…had a career-high six stops against Michigan State in the Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl…broke up two passes and had a two-yard TFL against Wake Forest in the ACC Championship Game.

Played in 12 career games for the Wildcats over two seasons…totaled six tackles and two pass breakups…played in only three contests during the 2019 campaign to preserve a redshirt.

High school: Enjoyed a highly accomplished career at traditional Pennsylvania power Aliquippa…a three-sport standout who excelled in football, basketball and track…equally versatile on the football field for Coach Mike Warfield, playing defensive back, wide receiver and returning kicks…as a senior, led the Quips to a 14-1 record and the WPIAL and PIAA Class 3A championships…compiled 27 catches for 571 yards (21.2 avg.) and scored 24 total touchdowns (scored four different ways) his final season…added eight interceptions on defense, including three in the state title game…had eight kickoff or punt return touchdowns, one short of the national high school record…had five return TDs that were nullified due to penalties…Pennsylvania Football Writers Class 3A Player of the Year…Pittsburgh Post-Gazette Co-Player of the Year…Pittsburgh Tribune-Review High School Athlete of the Year…averaged more than 17 points per game in basketball, leading the Quips to the WPIAL and PIAA playoffs…won two PIAA track titles (100 and 200 meters).
