Luke Rhodes

OLB, ILB · William & Mary
Under-recruited out of high school, Rhodes committed to FCS-level Williams & Mary and redshirted in 2011. He earned a starting job in 2012 and has been a consistent force in the middle of the defense the last four seasons, combining for 341 tackles over his career. A two-year captain, Rhodes earned First Team All-CAA honors each of the last three years and received an invitation to the 2016 NFLPA Collegiate Bowl.

he is adequate from a size/speed/strength standpoint and rarely leaves the field, thriving due to his aggressive nature and fundamentally sound tackling. rhodes struggles to keep himself clean near the line of scrimmage and makes it too easy for blockers to engage and tie him up. he has the bad habit of playing too fast and needs to add patience to his style to eliminate the wasted steps, often reacting before diagnosing. the unquestioned leader in the locker room, rhodes has the intangibles and active play style for the nfl, but his game lacks polish.
