Indianapolis Colts long snapper Luke Rhodes (46) before the game against the Houston Texas on Nov. 4.
Long snapper Luke Rhodes signed a one-year contract with the Indianapolis Colts, the team announced Monday. The Colts applied the tender to the exclusive rights free agent on March 14. Rhodes is the first of four exclusive rights free agents to sign with the Colts, who also tendered cornerback Chris Milton, tight end Erik Swoope and guard Jeremy Vujnovich. Rhodes has recorded two special teams tackles in 20 career games with the Colts. The 25-year-old transitioned from linebacker to long snapper in 2017 after the club cut Matt Overton. Listed at 6-foot-2 and 238 pounds, Rhodes participated in the Tampa Bay Buccaneers' offseason program and training camp in 2016 before being waived by the club. He signed with the Colts and recorded one special teams tackle in four games that season.
