HISTORY — From College Profile
Before Miami: Spent previous two seasons at Washington State after playing first two years of career at Incarnate Word…Started all 25 games of career at WSU with 6,963 passing yards and 48 touchdowns compared to 16 interceptions…Had 13 rushing touchdowns and completed 65.5 percent of passes (644-for-983) during two seasons with Cougars…Totaled 25 touchdowns compared to seven interceptions with 3,732 yards in final year (2023) at Wazzu…Had 13 rushing touchdowns in two seasons…In final season at Incarnate Word, was named to FCS All-America Second Team and named Southland Conference Offensive Player of the Year…Finalist for Walter Payton Award, given to most outstanding player in FCS… Led UIW to Southland Conference Championship, 10-3 overall record and into second round of the FCS playoffs…In 13 games in 2021, completed 384-of-590 (65.1%) passes for 4,648 yards with 47 touchdowns and just 10 interceptions.
HIGH SCHOOL
Played at Columbia High School in Columbia, Texas, under Brent Mascheck… as both a junior and a senior, threw for more than 1,000 yards at QB… in 2018, completed 72 of 124 pass attempts for 1,070 yards and seven touchdowns… also rushed for four TDs… helped team become 2019 co-district champions… earned first team all-district as a QB, honorable mention all-state football and All-Southern Brazoia County first team QB… also named two-time all-district offensive MVP in basketball… was selected honorable mention all-state academically.

Parents, Calvin and Patrice… has three older siblings… one ran track and field at Houston Baptist… also has two relatives in the NFL (Quandre Diggs plays for the Seattle Seahawks and Quintin Jammer plays for the San Diego Chargers)… started playing football at eight years old.
