Gottlieb Ayedze
UPDATES
Week 6: The guard had by far his biggest workload of the season, playing 48 snaps in Maryland's loss to unbeaten Ohio State, 37-17. Ayedze had a so-so day both run-blocking and in pass protecting for Taulia Tagovailoa, allowing two QB pressures. — JH
Week 5: A solid game in pass protection for Ayedze, allowing no pressures, in undefeated Maryland's 44-17 romp over Indiana. He struggled more in his pass-blocking assignments. — JH
Week 4: In just his second game back, Ayedze played 66 snaps against the Spartans, as undefeated Maryland got a 31-9 road win. The big guard had an impressive day pass blocking, not allowing a sack or pressure on Terrapins QB Tualia Tagovailoa, who threw for three TDs. Ayedze's run blocking, and the line's as a whole, was average as Maryland rushed for 139 yards as a team. — JH
Week 3: Ayedze saw his first action of the season, playing 39 snaps as Maryland again overcame a slow start to blast Virginia 42-14. The transfer guard struggled some in pass protection, allowing a pressure on Terps QB Taulia Tagovaila, who still passed for 342 yards on the night. Ayedze performed better as a run-blocker. — JH
Week 2: Ayedze again did not suit up for the Terrapins as Maryland rallied to thump Charlotte, 38-20. — JH
Week 1: The transfer guard from Frostburg State (MD) did not play due to injury in Maryland's 38-6 blasting of Towson to start the 2023 season. — JH
