RB Adrian Peterson was held to zero yards on four carries Sunday. He finished with 1,042 yards on 251 carries (4.2 yards per carry) and seven touchdowns. He caught 20 passes for 208 yards and one score.

QB Andrew Luck tied an NFL record with Sunday night's touchdown pass to tight end Ryan Hewitt, the 13th different player to catch a scoring pass from him this season.

LB Darius Leonard, a second-round selection, finished his rookie regular season with a franchise-record 163 total tackles, 19 more than the next player in the league. He added his second interception on Sunday night and contributed seven sacks this season.

K Adam Vinatieri, who turned 46 last week, became just the fourth NFL player to play at age 46 or older. A 53-yard field goal was the 43rd of his career from 50-plus yards, moving him into fourth on the league's all-time list.

S Jordan Lucas left Sunday's game with a stinger. He started in place of injured Eric Berry alongside Daniel Sorensen in the team's secondary. Lucas has started four games for the club this season and has seen his role expanded during the last two weeks of the season as the team's dime safety.

DT Derrick Nnadi sustained a concussion during Sunday's win against Oakland. This year's third-round draft pick has played an increasing role in the defense, particularly in run situations. He remains in the league's concussion protocol.

LG Laurent Duvernay-Tardif could return to the team from injured reserve as soon as next week. His recovery from a fractured fibula and ligament damage in his ankle remains ahead of schedule. The Chiefs have until Jan. 15 to return the offensive lineman to the active roster or leave him on injured reserve for the remainder of the season.

WR Sammy Watkins hasn't played since Week 11 against the Los Angeles Rams on Nov. 19, but the Chiefs have circled the postseason for his anticipated return. Watkins suffered a right foot injury in Week 9. He had been wearing a protective boot until last week, but head coach Andy Reid described his current status as day-to-day.

S Eric Berry sat out the season finale against Oakland after his chronic heel pain flared up late in the week. The club hopes that an additional week of rest will allow Berry to return for the Divisional Playoff game Jan. 12.

K Justin Tucker surpassed 140 points (141) for the third-consecutive season. No other NFL kicker has scored at least 140 points in each of the past three seasons. The 141 tie (2016 and 2017) Tucker's previous single-season points records in franchise history.
