LB Deion Jones led the team with 14 tackles (eight solo) and one forced fumble. Only two other players (Darius Leonard of Indianapolis and Anthony Hitchens of Kansas City) have two games with 14-plus tackles.

WR Calvin Ridley caught a 75-yard touchdown pass against Carolina. It was his ninth touchdown and ties him with Junior Miller (1980) for the most receiving touchdowns by a rookie in team history. He finished the day with three receptions for 90 yards.

WR Julio Jones played through a hip injury and caught four passes for 28 yards and one touchdown. Jones was receiving treatment throughout the game for the injury but is expected to play in the season finale.

QB Matt Ryan threw for 239 yards and three touchdowns for a 126.9 rating. He now has 293 touchdown passes and moved past Johnny Unitas and Warren Moon int 13th place on the all-time list. He needs two more to exceed Carson Palmer. Ryan has thrown for 33 touchdowns, his second-most in a single season.

RB Ty Montgomery was active Week 16 against the Chargers after he was a healthy scratch the previous week against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. He served as the third running back joining Gus Edwards and Kenneth Dixon and did not have a carry over 11 snaps.

LG Alex Lewis (shoulder) missed his third consecutive game Week 16 against the Chargers. James Hurst got the start and shared reps with rookie Bradley Bozeman. Lewis has struggled with injury over his three-year career.

LB Matthew Judon overcame a knee injury and played 48 snaps against the Chargers. He suffered the injury in his left knee injury Week 15 against the Falcons. Judon finished with one tackle against Los Angeles.

TE Nick Boyle was able to play Week 16 against the Chargers after he suffered a concussion the previous game against the Falcons. Boyle played 39 snaps and caught two passes for 15 yards. He had been listed as questionable.

S D.J. Swearinger was released following the safety's critical comments toward defensive coordinator Greg Manusky, according to a report Monday. Per The Athletic, Swearinger was called into coach Jay Gruden's office on Monday and informed of his release. Swearinger confirmed the news on 106.7 The Fan later in the morning. RB Todd Gurley could be a bystander for the second straight game, NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport reported on Monday. Gurley missed his first game since his rookie season on Sunday in the Rams' 31-9 win over the Arizona Cardinals. The Pro Bowl running back, who is dealing with inflammation in his left knee, participated in pregame drills before the team elected to err on the side of caution.
