Jim Harbaugh appears at March for Life rally, talks NFL job search

By Aaron McMann | While we await what happens with Jim Harbaugh and the NFL, the Michigan coach is spending some of his free time in the northeast. Harbaugh appeared at the annual March For Life rally in Washington, D. C.

, on Friday, espousing his views on abortion while bringing it all back to football — declaring the 30-degree temperatures and snow outside “football weather. ” Afterward, the 60-year-old coach spoke to YouTube commentator Jon Root about life since Michigan’s national championship win. “It’s been incredible,” Harbaugh said.

“Just getting back to work — getting ready for the next season. ” Harbaugh spoke of a “passing of the torch” but never clarified, nor did he provide any hints as to where he might be coaching next season. He interviewed with two NFL franchises this week, the Los Angeles Chargers and Atlanta Falcons, for their head-coaching vacancies — all while negotiations remain ongoing with Michigan over a lucrative contract extension.

Asked about the NFL job search, Harbaugh declined to dive into specifics — only saying he takes “the counsel of God and the Holy Spirit and Mr. Jack Harbaugh, my dad. “And my wife, Sarah,” Harbaugh continued.

“Just taking the advice, living one day at a time. One day at a time, one game at a time, one play at a time. ” Harbaugh said he plans to stay in the region on Saturday to attend the NFL playoff game between the Houston Texas and Baltimore Ravens, coached by his brother, John.

“He’s going to do great,” Harbaugh told Root. “The whole family will be there supporting my brother. Yeah, I think great things are going to happen.
