Dallas Cowboys top Forbes’ most valuable NFL franchises for 15th consecutive year

The Dallas Cowboys were once again named Forbes’ most valuable NFL franchise. Jerry Jones’ empire was valued by Forbes at $9 billion when the list was released this week. That’s 13% more than the Cowboys were worth a year ago.

Dallas made $1. 14 billion in revenue, which was by far the most in the NFL. The 2022 season was an overall boon for the NFL.

The league’s 32 teams increased in average revenue by 8% while the operating income dropped 14%. Jones bought the Cowboys for $140 million in 1989, at 46 years old from team owner and friend H. R.

“Bum” Bright in the largest deal at the time for an NFL team. The Cowboys’ historical value reached $9 billion after being listed at $3. 2 billion in 2014, per Forbes’ tracker for the team.

Jones said he could sell the Cowboys for “more than $10 billion” in May 2022, and the Cowboys have only moved closer to that mark. Granted, Jones has said numerous times that he’d never do that. .
