NFL Note - New England Patriots Gordon, Josh
WR Josh Gordon announced he was stepping away from the New England Patriots to focus on his mental well-being on Thursday but shortly after the wide receiver's announcement, the NFL announced he was suspended indefinitely for violating terms of his reinstatement under the substance abuse policy.
In issuing the suspension, the league said: "Effective today, Josh Gordon has been returned to the Reserve/Commissioner Suspended list indefinitely for violating the terms of his conditional reinstatement under the Policy and Program for Substances of Abuse.
Gordon also missed two full seasons due to suspension when he played for the Cleveland Browns and has participated in 22 games over the last five seasons.
