Packers WR Adams inactive vs. Lions

Green Bay Packers wide receiver Davante Adams was ruled inactive for the team's season finale against the visiting Detroit Lions. Adams, who was nursing a knee injury, was denied in his pursuit for a pair of franchise records as the Packers (6-8-1) host the Lions (5-10) on Sunday (1 p.m. ET). The 26-year-old Adams has enjoyed a brilliant fifth season with Green Bay, setting career highs with 111 receptions for 1,386 yards and 13 touchdowns. Adams needed two catches to break the franchise single-season mark of 112 established by Sterling Sharpe in 1993. A second-round pick in the 2014 NFL Draft, Adams also was within striking distance of Jordy Nelson's season record of 1,519 receiving yards set in 2014. Adams needed 134 yards to snap Nelson's mark. In last week's 44-38 overtime win over the New York Jets, Adams caught the decisive touchdown pass from Aaron Rodgers to cap an 11-catch, 71-yard performance. It was his fourth touchdown in the past five games and gave him 35 scoring passes in 45 games over the past three seasons. Fellow wide receiver Equanimeous St. Brown was also listed as inactive in Sunday's game for Green Bay. Randall Cobb, who cleared the league's concussion protocol, Marquez Valdes-Scantling, J'Mon Moore, Jake Kumerow and Allen Lazard are all expected to play versus the Lions (5-10). Cornerback Jaire Alexander, guard Nico Siragusa, offensive tackle Jason Spriggs and linebacker Kendal Donnerson were listed as inactive.
