LSU suspends G Ingram indefinitely
LSU suspended sophomore guard Edward Ingram indefinitely for an unspecified violation of team rules. Tigers head coach Ed Orgeron made the announcement Friday, per the Times-Picayune of New Orleans. LSU opened its training camp on Saturday. "Ed Ingram has been suspended from the team indefinitely for violating team rules," said Orgeron. "He will not be with us in camp." Orgeron declined to get into specifics as to the violation that led to the suspension of Ingram, who was scheduled to be the starting right guard for the Tigers. "It's a violation of team policy," Orgeron said. "We have a policy set in place by the university. He broke that policy. We just need to see what happens." Ingram appeared in all 13 games last season, starting the final 12. Orgeron will move Damien Lewis into Ingram's slot at right guard. "It's unfortunate circumstance for any one of our teammates but we're real excited about Damien," Orgeron said.
