NASHVILLE — Ole Miss football will take part in 2023 SEC Media Days on Thursday, with Lane Kiffin entering the fourth season of his tenure with the Rebels.
Among the primary storylines heading into the season will be the quarterback room, featuring Jaxson Dart and Oklahoma State transfer Spencer Sanders.

Kiffin says Sanders is 100%
Kiffin largely dodged a question about whether there was an open quarterback question this spring between Dart and Sanders. He did say, however, that Sanders was fully healthy. He had been on a pitch count this spring.
Zxavian Harris an internal matter
Ole Miss sophomore defensive tackle Zxavian Harris was arrested in Oxford this weekend. Asked about his status, Kiffin offered no outlook on his future.
"We've been on top of that," he said. "Those are internal matters. When you get discipline, you get all the information in."
Kiffin on NIL, transfer portal
Kiffin has often been critical of the current NIL setup. He's happy that players can get paid, but feels that there are structural problems.
"There just is not a system in place. I don't think there's any other sports that are like this, where really every year you can opt into free agency," Kiffin said.
"These massive roster overhauls are really not in the best interest of college football."
Thoughts on the SEC's addition of Texas and Oklahoma
Kiffin said he was joking with Texas coach Steve Sarkisian this week, looking at the Rebels' 2024 schedule after the SEC's addition of Texas and Oklahoma.
"I don't know why any coach would want to go to the NFL. We're in it now."
