Florida State quarterback Deondre Francois is being investigated for an alleged domestic violence incident that occurred Tuesday night, according to the Tallahassee Democrat. The newspaper obtained a police report, which describes an argument between Francois and a woman who showed up at his home and claimed she was pregnant with his child. Francois, who called the police, said the woman began to break items in the house and attempted to rip a television off the wall. According to the report, she had a different version of events, telling authorities that he broke down a bedroom door, threw her to the ground and tried to get her to leave the apartment. Francois said he grabbed the woman in a hug to prevent her from breaking things, and that a cut she sustained on her arm was the result of a broken vase. According to the Tallahassee Democrat: "Due to the conflicting statements and lack of an independent witnesses, officers did not make an arrest." State attorney Jack Campbell told the newspaper it is a "pending investigation." Francois started every game in 2016 as a redshirt freshman, but suffered a season-ending injury in the 2017 opener. --Four of the nine Florida players suspended indefinitely before the start of last season for their part in credit card fraud have rejoined the Gators' team activities. Running back Jordan Scarlett, wide receiver Rick Wells, and linebackers Ventrell Miller and James Houston are scheduled to join the team for offseason conditioning beginning Wednesday. From a football standpoint, Scarlett's reinstatement is the most significant. He led the Gators in rushing in 2016 with 889 yards and six touchdowns. It is possible that all or some of the reinstated players may be suspended for some games in the 2018 season. --Kansas State promoted Andre Coleman to the role of offensive coordinator, the school announced. Coleman has coached the Wildcats' wide receivers since 2013 and became the team's passing-game coordinator in 2016. Kansas State also promoted offensive line coach Charlie Dickey and quarterbacks coach Collin Klein to co-coordinator roles. Dickey will oversee the rushing game while Klein will keep tabs on the passing game. --Former Clemson quarterback Zerrick Cooper, who lost out on the starting job last season to Kelly Bryant, announced he will attend Jacksonville State next season. By dropping down to a team in the Football Championship Subdivision, Cooper will be able to play immediately. He has three years of eligibility remaining. --Football continues to be a big money-maker at Alabama, which this season won the national championship for the fifth time in nine years. According to documents obtained by AL.com, the Crimson Tide football program brought in $108.2 million in revenue and had a profit of $45.9 million in 2017. The revenue was up by more than $4 million over 2016, but increased expenses brought the profit down by $1.8 million.
