North Texas safety Nick Nakwaasah announced his intention to enter the transfer portal as a graduate on Friday.
The Bishop Dunne product started four games for UNT in 2023, when he finished with 21 tackles, including 2.5 tackles for loss.
"Thank you UNT," Nakwaasah wrote on his X account. "I have decided to enter my name to the Transfer Portal as a graduate transfer."
Nakwaasah played in eight games with the Mean Green. He arrived at UNT as a transfer from Central Arkansas ahead of the 2022 season but was injured in offseason practice and missed the year.
Nakwaasah had several productive games in his lone season playing for UNT last fall. He finished with six tackles in a win over Abilene Christian and five in games against Navy and Tulsa.
UNT has signed several transfer safeties over the last few weeks, including B.J. Allen Jr. (Texas), Isheem Young (Ole Miss) and David Spruiells (Northern Arizona).
