Summary:

"Sometimes when life gives you lemons, you make lemonade." 

This is exactly what the Saints did with their draft. With only two selections in the first two rounds,  No. 12 and No. 41 the Saints landed two potential day one starters on both sides of the ball. 

The Saints built on those picks by having a nearly perfect Day Three. Starting with their No. 150 selection, QB Spencer Rattler. Many had seen him as one of the potential steals of this draft who can immediately become a reliable back-up, before potentially transitioning to a starting QB role for the Saints. 

However, the Saints didn't stop there as they also snagged another highly touted sleeper on the defensive side of the ball at No. 199, when they selected, Nothern Iowa, DT, Khristian Boyd.
