Week 4: Rutgers suffered its first loss of the season against Michigan, with Melton allowing a his first TD pass of the season, an 18-yard back-shoulder throw to Michigan's Samaj Morgan. Melton was in on two tackles but missed a tackle for the third straight game. — JH
Week 3: Against Virginia Tech, Melton may have had his most consistent game in coverage of the young season, allowing just two catches for 18 yards. He was also credited with one tackle as the undefeated Scarlet Knights routed the Hokies, 35-16. — JH
Week 2: The Rutgers corner played 64 snaps against Temple in Nortwestern's 36-7 pasting of the Owls. As in Week 1, Melton occasionally had a tough time in coverage, allowing four catches on seven targets for 50 yards. He did get flagged once for a penalty but he also had a pass break-up. — JH
Week 1: Melton logged a ton of snaps (65) for a season opener, won by Rutgers 24-7 over Northwestern. The corner picked off a pass and was targeted six other times, allowing three receptios for 41 yards. He was also in on three tackles. — JH
