Led TCU to its first College Football Playoff appearance and trip to the CFP National Championship after a 51-45 semifinal win over Michigan at the Vrbo Fiesta Bowl ... totaled 282 yards of offense (225 passing, 57 rushing) and four touchdowns (two passing, two rushing) in the victory over the Wolverines ... his 32 touchdown passes on the season were one off the TCU record (33, Trevone Boykin, 2014) ... his 73 career scoring tosses also trailed only Boykin (86, 2012-15) in TCU history ... responsible for 41 touchdowns (32 passing, 9 rushing) on the season, second-most at TCU (Boykin 42, 2014) ... closed his career third all-time at TCU with 9,618 passing yards ... his 28 career rushing touchdows tie for sixth in TCU history ... made 14 starts as a senior to close his career with 43 career starts ... keyed TCU’s furious fourth-quarter comeback against Kansas State in the Big 12 Championship Game, leading a pair of scoring drives to force overtime after an 11-point deficit in the final 7:34 ... became the first player with 250 yards passing and 100 rushing in a conference championship game since Clemson’s Deshaun Watson in 2015 ... because of a TCU penalty, he rushed for 95 yards on the game-tying 80-yard drive ... had a 19-yard run on a 4th-and-2 and a 40-yard gain to set up his 8-yard scoring run on the next snap, before completing a pass to Jared Wiley for the 2-point conversion ... in the 29-28 win at Baylor, he led TCU on fourth-quarter scoring drives on its final two possessions without its leading rusher (Kendre Miller) and top-two receivers (Quentin Johnston, Derius Davis) ... the game-winning drive also came with TCU not having any timeouts available ... completed 7-of-9 passes for 83 yards with four carries for 33 yards on the final two series ... totaled 377 yards and two touchdowns in the game ... had his fifth 300-yard passing effort (327) while rushing for a team-best 50 yards ... with a 73-yard touchdown pass to Taye Barber and a 67-yard scoring run just 1:18 apart against Oklahoma, he became just the second player nationally in the last 15 years and first since Lamar Jackson in 2016 with a touchdown pass and TD run of at least 60 yards in the first quarter of a game ... completed 23-of-33 passes for 302 yards and three touchdowns while adding 116 yards rushing on five carries in the 55-24 rout of the Sooners ... had 15 total TDs and one interception in TCU’s four straight October wins over ranked opponents ... accounted for three or more touchdowns in nine games on the season ... totaled 17 touchdown passes of at least 20 yards.
