Luke Musgrave

TE · Oregon State

OVERVIEW

Summary: Well-rounded athlete, Musgrave grew up in Vancouver, Washington and was an Alpine Ski racer, track star and even played lacross. Football was in his family. His dad, Doug, was an All-American high school quarterback and played in college. Uncle Bill was a four-year starting quarterback at Oregon and played seven years in the NFL before becoming an assistant coach with several teams.

A huge, loose, flexible athlete whose speed (4.61 seconds in 40 yards) is deceptive when he stretches those long legs into big strides and gets away from people. He is still learning how to pull his athleticism together for football, such as he needs to catch with his hands instead of his body, but Musgrave has plenty of upside.

FRANKLY: There is a lot of untapped athleticism in Musgrave, who is unafraid to block and has a combination of speed, stride and massive wingspan that will make him a good target. He is good now, but the versatile athleticism gives Musgrave a high ceiling. He would be a good pick in the late first or early second round.
