Joseph Noteboom

OG, OT · Texas Christian
Offensive linemen have a reputation for being some of the smartest players on the field and that characterization is reinforced with Noteboom, who earned Academic All-Big 12 honors after each of his four seasons on the field for the Horned Frogs, the last two of which he started every game at left tackle, closing out his career with an impressive 40 consecutive starts. Noteboom served as an oft-used backup in his first season of real action for the Horned Frogs after redshirting in 2013 - an accomplishment in itself given that he was attempting to crack a starting lineup which featured future NFL draft picks Tayo Fabuluje (Chicago-2015), Halapoulivaati Vaitai (Philadelphia-2015), Joey Hunt (Seattle-2016) and Aviante Collins (Minnesota-2017). Noteboom isn't just intelligent and coming from a program known for churning out NFL prospects. He also comes with some untapped potential. He played tight end as a sophomore in high school and switched to defensive end and guard as a junior before finally switching to left tackle as a senior. He was pressed into duty at both left and right tackle as a redshirt sophomore with injuries taking out some of his talented teammates. Showing the foot quickness and length, as well as the durability and versatility which will endear him to scouts and offensive line coaches, alike, Noteboom switched to left tackle exclusively for his final two seasons at TCU, earning honorable mention from league coaches (his first honor for on-field performance), as well as an invitation to the Senior Bowl.
