PERSONAL: Born June 4, 2001 ... graduated from Duke in May 2023, with a African & African American studies and political science degree ... son of Stanley and Chareen Monk ... father was a four-year letterwinner (1984-85-86-87) as a running back at Duke, rushed 294 times for 1,149 yards and eight TDs with a pair of 100-yard rushing outings against N.C. State (21-104; 1985) and Rutgers (25-130; 1987) and signed with the NFL’s Dallas Cowboys following collegiate career ... late uncle, Quincy Monk, earned four letters (1998-99-2000-01) as a linebacker at the University of North Carolina, was selected in the seventh round of the NFL Draft by the New York Giants in 2002 and played three professional seasons with the Giants (2002-03) and Houston Texans (2004).
