Anthony Evans

RB · Houston
The three-time candidate for the Doak Walker Award is an explosive runner who has a constant motor and tends to make defenders miss. He is a slasher between the tackles and has an extra gear to get to the corner. While not used often, Evans is also a talented receiver out of the backfield. He was scheduled to be the Cougars' top running back at the I-Back spot coming out of 2005 spring camp, but a calf injury caused him to miss five games over the last two years. Still, he finished his career tenth on the school's all-time record list with 2,295 yards rushing and eighteen touchdowns on the ground.
