HISTORY — From College Profile
CAREER: In his 5-year collegiate career (3 years at Texas and 2 years at USC), he has 37 receptions for 483 yards (13.1 avg) with 7 TDs while appearing in 49 games with 12 starts.
2023: Epps looks to once again be a key contributor at tight end as a redshirt senior in 2022.
2022: Epps saw action in all 14 games as a redshirt senior in 2022. He tallied 3 catches for 18 yards (6.0 avg), 2 touchdowns and 1 INT. Epps also contributed on USC’s kickoff return unit.
He had 1 catch for 4 yards at Stanford. He recorded a 10-yard receiving touchdown against Fresno State. Also against the Bulldogs, he caught an INT at the end of the first half of play when he was put in to defend a Hail Mary play. He tallied 1 catch for 4 yards and a touchdown against Arizona State.
2021: Epps, who transferred to USC from Texas in the fall of 2021, saw action in all 12 games, with 5 starts (Stanford, Washington State, Arizona, Arizona State, California), at slot tight end as a redshirt junior in 2021. Overall in 2021, he had 10 receptions for 173 yards (17.3 avg) with 1 TD. He had a 4-yard catch against Stanford, an 18-yard reception at Washington State, a 10-yard catch at Colorado, 2 catches for 51 yards, with a 41-yard TD, and also caught a 2-point conversion pass against Utah, 2 grabs for 38 yards at Notre Dame, a 6-yard catch against Arizona and a 19-yard reception at Arizona State.
TEXAS: He had 24 catches for 292 yards (12.2 avg) with 4 TDs in his 3-year (2018-20) career at Texas as a wide receiver and tight end, appearing in 23 games (with 7 starts).
He appeared in 8 games as a 2020 redshirt sophomore tight end, getting 3 receptions for 42 yards (14.0 avg) and 2 TDs. He caught a 32-yard TD at Kansas State.

As a 2017 senior, he caught 27 passes for 506 yards (18.7 avg) with 7 TDs and also made 11 tackles (with 5 sacks), a forced fumble and a fumble recovery when he earned All-American, All-District 16-6A first team and Houston Chronicle All-Greater Houston second team honors.
He made All-District 16-6A second team and Academic All-District as a 2016 junior when he caught 10 passes for 129 yards (12.9 avg) and had a rushing touchdown.
He was the District 15-6A Offensive Newcomer of the Year as a sophomore in 2015 when he had 21 receptions for 364 yards (17.3 avg) with 5 TDs.
He also was on the basketball and track teams at Dekaney.
PERSONAL: He earned his bachelor’s degree in Human Dimension of Organization from Texas in the spring of 2021, and is now working on a master’s degree in Gerontology at USC with a 3.11 GPA. He made the Big 12 Commissioner’s Honor Roll in the spring of 2019 as a human dimensions of organizations major at Texas.
