Max Hall

QB · Brigham Young
Hall began his career near home at Arizona State, but after a redshirt season and mission in Des Moines, Iowa, he decided to attend BYU instead. A transfer season later, he became the next in a long line of successful Cougar quarterbacks. In three years leading the offense (39 consecutive starts), Hall earned one first-team All-Mountain West (2007) and two second-team honors (2008, 2009). His average numbers during those seasons are impressive: 3,788 passing yards, 31 touchdowns, 13 interceptions, 65 percent completion rate. Much of that production came throwing to brother-in-law TE Dennis Pitta, also a 2010 NFL Draft prospect. Hall has good NFL genes, being the nephew of former Dallas Cowboys quarterback Danny White. His lack of size and elite arm strength, along with his age (turns 25 in October) and troubles handling pressure will keep him out of the top 100 picks. But his mobility, moxie and intelligence could cause a team to pick him in the late rounds.
