Zac Robinson

QB, ATH · Oklahoma State
If not for the success of fellow Big 12 quarterbacks Sam Bradford and Colt McCoy, more across the country would know of Robinson. NFL scouts certainly know him; it isn't just coincidence the Cowboys produced highly touted pass-catchers Adarius Bowman, Brandon Pettigrew and Dez Bryant during Robinson's tenure. A highly-touted prep athlete out of Colorado, Robinson was recruited as a quarterback and wide receiver. His athleticism is an unheralded component of the success he's enjoyed for the Cowboys, as has rushed for 1,858 yards and 22 touchdowns over his career. Of course, where he has been most effective is through the air. Robinson is the Cowboys' all-time leading passer, accumulating 8,317 yards and 66 touchdowns (against 31 interceptions) over 34 games. Robinson showed a stronger arm at the Senior Bowl than scouts had given him credit for. He doesn't have the elite accuracy downfield to warrant a selection in the top 50, but has boasts enough to go along with reasonable arm strength and good mobility to warrant consideration in the middle rounds. Athletic and intelligent enough to handle the conversion from the spread to a pro-style offense, if given a few years to acclimate Robinson could ultimately develop into a starting caliber NFL quarterback.
