Cardona served as Navy's long snapper for four seasons, and earned an invitation to the Senior Bowl in Mobile, Ala. - only the third prospect from the program to ever participate (Napoleon McCallum (1986) and Eric Kettani ('08). Cardona contributed six career tackles and a forced fumble. Taught to long snap by his father, Cardona is seeking to become only the fourth long snapper drafted in NFL history.

A 2010 graduate of Granite Hills High School, Cardona attended the Naval Academy Prep School during the 2010-11 academic year
