Luke Lachey

TE, · Iowa

UPDATES

Week 4: DNP. Lachey had surgery on his injured ankle following the Western Michigan game. There's a chance he'll return at some point in 2023 but, according to head coach Kirk Ferentz, the star TE will likely miss the rest of the season.

Week 3: In an unfortunate development for Lachey and Iowa, the team's leading receiver went down to what Iowa coach Kirk Ferentz after the game described as a significant lower leg injury. The mishap occurred in the first half of the Hawkeyes' 41-10 win over Western Michigan. As of Monday 9/18, no official diagnosis of the injury had been released.

Week 2: In 50 snaps, Lachey had three catches in six targets for 58 yards (19.3 yards per catch). His run-blocking in Iowa's 20-13 win over Iowa State was underwhelming.

Week 1: The skilled tight end was targeted nine times and caught seven balls for 73 yards in Iowa's season-opening win over Utah State, 24-14. Lachey played 56 snaps in Week 1.
