Ohio State Overview
• Ty is in his fifth year with the program and has earned three Varsity O letters 
• Has played in 41 games for the Buckeyes, including all 13 games in each of the last three seasons, and has started 13 times
• Made five starts in 2022 and added eight more in 2023
• Coming off a fine, 38-tackle season with 4.5 tackles-for-loss, including two quarterback sacks
• Earned honorable mention all-Big Ten Conference honors in 2023
• Tied his career-high with three solo tackles and set a new career-high with six total tackles twice in 2023: versus Rutgers and also versus Missouri 
• Enters the 2024 campaign with 65 career tackles, 7.0 TFLs and 4.5 sacks
• Had a breakout 2022 campaign when he played in all 13 games and started the last five games of the season (vs. Northwestern, Indiana, Maryland, Michigan and Georgia in the CFP semifinals)
• Played in all 13 games and totaled 19 tackles in 2022, including a career-high three-solo tackle effort in the CFP semifinals vs. Georgia 
• Played in all 13 games in 2021 after playing in two games as a true freshman in 2020
•  Recorded 12 tackles in 2021, including two quarterback sacks
• Sacks came against Akron and Indiana; also recovered a fumble vs. Michigan State 
• A two-time OSU Scholar-Athlete and a two-time Academic All-Big Ten Conference honoree

• Played inside as a defensive tackle, outside as a defensive end and stand up as a linebacker during his high school career
• First team All-Ohio as a linebacker

• A finalist for the 2019 fall sports Athlete of the Year by ThisWeek
• A member of the Columbus Dispatch All-Metro first team
• Finished his senior season with 118 tackles, eight tackles-for-loss, 8.5 sacks and one forced fumble for the Division I state champions
