Week 5: DNP — bye week
Week 4: Proctor played his most snaps of the season (65) in Ohio State's win over host Notre Dame, 17-14. The safety was in on seven tackles. In pass coverage, he was targeted twice but did not allow a catch. — JH
Week 3: Proctor returned to the lineup and played 54 snaps in the Buckeyes' 63-10 beatdown of Western Kentucky. He was in on five tackles. The safety was also targeted four times in pass coverage but allowed just one reception for two yards. — JH

Week 1: Proctor played 30 snaps in Ohio State's season opener, a 23-3 win over visiting Indiana. He was in on three tackles and had a pass break-up from his safety position. — JH

2023: Josh and OG Matt Jones are elder statesmen of the team, having both arrived in 2018 and now in their sixth year... Josh has appeared in 42 games over the past five seasons, totalled 65 tackles, seven pass break-ups and he has started nine times.
2022 (sr): Played in 11 games, started four times and totaled 21 tackles and two pass break-ups.
2021 (jr): Started first two games and made 10 tackles, but was injured midway through Game 2 vs. Oregon and missed the remainder of the season.
2020 (jr): Earned a starting position and Honorable Mention All-Big Ten... Had 20 tackles – 16 solo – in seven games, with one tackle for loss, two pass breakups and one interception... Had four tackles, one interception and one pass defended in the 2020 Big Ten Championship Game vs. Northwestern... In addition to playing safety, Proctor also lined up at wide receiver for Owasso and was a member of the school’s basketball team... Had a 100-yard interception return in the 2017 season opener...
