Week 5: The veteran LB had a lighter-than-usual workload, as he logged 19 total snaps in Michigan's 45-7 road win over Nebraska. He did record three solo tackles and allowed one catch in coverage (for one yard). — JH

Week 4: Barrett had a very solid game in Michigan's 31-7 beating of Rutgers to stay undefeated. Barrett got two QB pressures on blitzes and was in on three tackles (one solo). He was targeted once in coverage and allowed a reception for 10 yards. — JH

Week 3: In 3-0 Michigan's 31-6 blowout of Bowling Green, Barrett played 27 snaps total. Of the 15 passing plays he played on, he dropped into coverage in all but one of them. He allowed just one catch for one yard in two targets. He also contributed a couple of tackles and helped the defense hold the Falcons' running game to 81 yards. — JH

Week 2: Barrett made three solo tackles (five total) and played a pivotal role in Michgan holding UNLV's ground game to just 61 yards and 2.0 yards-per-carry average. When dropping into coverage, Barrett was targeting twice, allowing two completions, though they went for a total of only seven yards. Michigan beat UNLV 35-7 to go 2-0 on the young season. — JH

Week 1: Barrett recorded five total tackles, including two solo stops and half a tackle for loss as host Michigan walloped East Carolina 30-3 in the season-opener for both teams. Barrett logged 23 snaps, most of which found him in pass coverage. Two times he was targeted on passes, allowing two receptions for a total of 24 yards. — JH
