Haener’s 39 completions were the fifth-most in a game, his 53 attempts were the 11th most, and his 455 yards passing are the 12th most in a game in program history … had a career-best five touchdown passes against UNLV (Sept. 24), the third-most in a game in program history and second-most among MW quarterbacks this season … had a career-long 86-yard touchdown pass in the season-opener against UConn (Aug. 28). Haener had 422 yards at Utah State (Nov. 12) and 485 at Nevada (Dec. 5) … had 41 completions on 65 attempts at Nevada … his 41 completions and 65 attempts are each the third-most in a game in program history in the respective categories … those numbers were also enough to tie for fourth-most in Mountain West history ... had the eighth- (at Nevada), 16th- (at Utah State) and 47th-best (vs. New Mexico) passing performances in program history … led Fresno State to 105 total offensive plays at Nevada, the most in program history … was responsible for 76 of the Bulldogs' 105 offensive plays versus the Pack. 2019: Joined Fresno State football team on Sept. 4 ... had to sit out the 2019 season due to NCAA transfer rules.
PRIOR TO FRESNO STATE: (2018) Played in four games ... made his UW debut in the win over North Dakota, going 7-for-7 for 110 yards and a touchdown, a 12-yard pass to Ty Jones ... also saw action late in the BYU game ... 1-for-4 for 11 yards in the game at California ... 1-for-2 passing in the Husky win over Oregon State. (2017) Did not see any game action during the 2017 season ... redshirted ... earned the Bob Jarvis Offensive Scout Squad MVP award at the UW postseason awards banquet.
HIGH SCHOOL: Named the first-team quarterback on the All-Bay Area Preps team following senior year ... also first-team All-North Coast Section and All-East Bay Athletic League ... also the All-NorCal first-team quarterback ... finished career with 8,464 yards on 597-for-977 passing, with a school-record 90 touchdowns and 24 interceptions over three years and 35 games ... as a senior, led the Mustangs to a 12-1 record and the CIF North Coast Section Division I championship ... completed 170-for-279 for 2,976 yards, 37 touchdowns and just eight interceptions as a senior ... also rushed for six scores ... threw multiple TD passes in 12 of 13 games, and three or more eight times in 2016 ... in 2015, team went 7-4 and played in the CIF NCS Division I quarterfinals ... as a junior, went 208-for-321 for 3,005 yards, 35 TDs and just six interceptions ... as a sophomore, threw for 2,483 yards on 219-for-377 passing, with 18 TDs and 10 picks ... PERSONAL: Son of Ryan and Julie Haener ... has a younger brother, Kyle ... chose to attend Fresno State because his dad grew up in Fresno and he had a lot of family and friends here .... said coming to Fresno State was an easy choice for him ... recruited out of high school by many Pac-12 schools, Wake Forest and North Carolina ... is a communications major at Fresno State.
