12/24/12 - CB Jimmy Smith was replaced in the nickel package by cornerback Chykie Brown. Brown was beaten for a touchdown late by Domenik Hixon, but held up well otherwise with four pass deflections.
12/21/12 - CB Jimmy Smith is coming off a disappointing game against the Broncos where he allowed a completion that set up a touchdown run, but indicated his health is improving. It was his first game back following sports hernia surgery.
12/18/12 - CB Jimmy Smith returned on a limited basis after missing five games following sports hernia surgery, but allowed a catch that set up a touchdown run.
The former first-round draft pick from Colorado had two tackles, and wasn't very quick.
"He wasn't 100 percent out there, and that's something that you really don't know until you get into the game," Ravens coach John Harbaugh said. "Unfortunately, he wasn't as quick as I would have hoped he would be. We'll just have to see how he does this week. Sometimes in practice, it's a little harder to judge that."
