 Draft Scout Russell Wilson News
10/09/17 - QB Russell Wilson was 24 of 37 for 198 yards with a touchdown and an interception on Sunday against the Rams.
10/02/17 - QB Russell Wilson connected on 21 of 26 passes for 295 yards and two touchdowns with two interceptions. Wilson also added a rushing score of his own, the first touchdown of the day for the Seattle offense. He ran straight down the middle of the field after dropping back for a pass and dived into the end zone, reaching the ball out for a score as he got hit hard on his left thigh. Wilson's reaction was even better than the score itself, as he jumped up with a furious fist pump toward the home crowd in the north end and headbutts all around for his teammates. "I think that as a competitor there's moments that get you going and get the team going as well," Wilson said. "I knew I was in, I felt I kept my legs up above the ground. That energy is what we need and it's not just for me." Doug Baldwin had to go back three years to remember a time when Russell was that excited. "Rams game, I think it was three years ago, at St. Louis, it was another long run on the sideline, he got up was energetic, excited about it and that was the last time I've seen him like that," Baldwin said smirking. In Baldwin's opinion, 'Angry' Russell is something they need to bring out of him more often. "If you ask me what was the spark, him taking off on that long run and then getting up and celebrating the way he did, that gave a lot of juice to the rest of the team," Baldwin said. "I try to force it out of him but he doesn't always want to let it happen."
09/18/17 - QB Russell Wilson's 9-yard touchdown pass to Paul Richardson with just over seven minutes remaining in the fourth quarter aganst the Niners was Seattle's first touchdown of the season. Wilson overcame a poor passing performance on a rainy afternoon to put together a 10-play, 82-yard drive that included several scrambles for first downs before he threw the go-ahead touchdown pass to Richardson with 7:06 remaining. "Russell was very resourceful today," Seahawks coach Pete Carroll said. "Maybe not as sharp because the balls were (dropped). But when we needed it, he came through in great fashion." Wilson completed 23 of 39 passes for 198 yards and a touchdown while adding 34 yards on 12 carries.
09/11/17 - QB Russell Wilson to 158 passing yards on 14-of-27 in Sunday's loss to Green Bay. He also lost a fumble inside the Seahawks 10-yard line that led to the Packers' first touchdown.
01/15/17 - QB Russell Wilson threw two interceptions and was sacked three times in the Seahawks' 36-20 playoff loss at Atlanta on Saturday. He finished 17 of 30 for 225 yards with two touchdown passes.
