2024 Atlanta Falcons Draft

The ATLANTA FALCONS 2024 Draft Recap

Team Needs:

CB, DL, WR, OL, QB

Summary:

Its only fitting that sitting at the bottom of the grading scale would be the team that made the most shocking selection of the draft on day one when they picked Michael Penix Jr. In their defense of making this selection the Atlanta Falcons brass and head coach Raheem Morris stated that they don't see themselves picking this high again in a draft with Kirk Cousins as their quarterback. So why not take whom they thaught was the best available player with that selection. Click this link to hear the first thing that came to mind when these words were uttered!

To play Devil's Advocate there is some truth in the matter and after watching the New York Jets struggle after the Rogers injury, (Same one Cousins is recovering from) this is a good way for the Falcons to "cover their asses". This may be the case if the only questionble selection started and ended with Penix Jr. However, that was not the case and day two and three were littered with the same mind numbing picks that left me wondering if they just turned on the auto pick settings for the remainder of the draft.
