See the list of LSU players accompanying coach Brian Kelly to SEC Media Days next week

The list of players attending Southeastern Conference Media Days next week in Nashville, Tennessee, was released Monday, with quarterback Jayden Daniels, defensive tackle Mekhi Wingo and running back Josh Williams representing LSU. The three Tigers will accompany second-year coach Brian Kelly to Nashville on Monday, when LSU is one of three schools present on the first day of the four-day event. Monday’s schedule also includes players and coaches from Texas A&M and Missouri. The event will be televised on the SEC Network. LSU's rotation at media days runs from 10:30 a.m.-1:45 p.m. Monday. Daniels, a senior transfer from Arizona State, led the Tigers to a 10-4 record last season that included a surprise first-place finish in the SEC West. Daniels became the first player since Alvin Dark in 1942 to lead LSU in passing and rushing in the same season, throwing for 2,913 yards and 17 touchdowns and rushing for 885 yards and 11 scores, the most ever rushing yards and rushing touchdowns by a Tiger quarterback. Daniels was one of only two quarterbacks in the FBS to run for 800 or more yards and throw for 2,500 yards or more. His 3,798 yards of total offense ranks second in school history to only Joe Burrow, who set the SEC mark with 6,039 as a senior in 2019. Daniels is one of five quarterbacks scheduled to attend media days along with Arkansas’ KJ Jefferson, Will Rogers of Mississippi State, Spencer Rattler of South Carolina and Tennessee’s Joe Milton. After Maason Smith was lost to a season-ending knee injury in LSU’s 2022 opener against Florida State, Wingo came on and turned into a dominant force in the middle of the Tigers’ line. A transfer from Missouri, Wingo earned All-American honors as he recorded 47 tackles with three sacks, five quarterback hurries and two forced fumbles. Williams anchored an at times chaotic LSU running back corps, starting six games and rushing for 532 yards and six touchdowns on 97 carries. He also caught 21 passes for 132 yards, and his 50-yard run at Florida on Oct. 15 was the Tigers’ longest of the season.
