Week 5: In Michigan's 45-7 thrashing of Nebraska, Nugent posted another outstanding game in protecting QB J.J. McCarthy. No sacks. No pressures allowed as McCarthy had an efficient 12-of-16, two-touchdown day in the win. — JH

Week 4: The Michigan center had another solid day in his team's 31-7 win over Rutgers. Nugent played 62 snaps and his run-blocking on 36 running plays helped Michigan rush for 201 yards. In pass-blocking, Nugent again was stellar, not allowing a sack or pressure on QB J.J. McCarthy. — JH

Week 3: Nugent played fewer snaps (41) than usual as the Michigan coaching staff substituted backup lineman in the second half of the Wolverines' 31-6 win over Bowling Green. Another solid day for the Michigan center, especially in pass protection, where he didn't a give up a sack or a pressure. Nugent was less effective in run-blocking but he did help Michigan total 169 yards on the ground. — JH

Week 2: In the Wolverines 35-7 win over UNLV, Nugent and his linemates helped J.J. McCarthy post a second straight impressive perfomance and opened holes for Michigan's running game (179 yards rushing). Nugent was in 50 snaps and didn't allow a pressure on McCarthy all day. — JH

Week 1: Nugent logged 58 total snaps in Michigan's 30-3 season-opening win over East Carolina. Anchoring an offensive line that didn't allow a sack, Nugent gave up on one hurry and one pressure on QB J.J. McCarthy. — JH
